Jetzt wundert man sich natürlich zunächst, dass der Lautsprecher eine Ecke teurer ist als die bisher bei uns vorgestellten Bluetooth-Varianten von Xiaomi. Das liegt daran, dass der hier vorgestellte Lautsprecher in einer anderen Liga spielt – sowohl von der Größe (und damit vom Klang) als auch von der technischen Ausstattung. Der Mi Internet Speaker verfügt neben Bluetooth (A2DP, V4.1) auch über eingebautes Dual WLAN. Ihr könnt ihn per App steuern und per Sprache (vermutlich allerdings vorerst nicht auf Deutsch). 8GB Speicher sind verbaut und können per USB vergrößert werden.

Es sind vier Lautsprecher verbaut mit zwei 2,5″ Mitteltönern und 2x top tenor Speakern. Das Gerät wiegt 1,6kg, ist also eher für den Gebrauch zu Hause oder auf der Terrasse gedacht.
